Our company started operations in Pakistan in the year 2007. From humble beginnings, the firm has now grown to become one of the best quality sorting & grading facilities for used clothing in the world.
We opened our first retail outlet in Maputo (Mozambique) in the year 1994 and since then we have successfully opened 6 more retail outlets in different parts of Africa; in Lilongwe (Malawi), Antananarivo (Madagascar), Chimoio (Mozambique), Lusaka (Zambia), Kinshasa & Lubumbashi (Congo).
Our huge network of agents, contractors, marketers and workers is spread throughout Canada, Pakistan, Africa and other countries.
Who We Are?
M.Mawji & Sons (Pvt) Ltd. is a second hand clothing importer and exporter based in Karachi, Pakistan. The company was established in 1994 and has now become a major player in Pakistan’s second-hand clothing export market. We are well known for our high quality products originating from the Western Markets.
At M.Mawji & Sons, quality is key; therefore, we choose to work with Canadian suppliers who offer superior quality second hand clothes. In the last ten years, we have managed to build a satisfied customer base, mostly in Africa and the Middle-East.
What We Do?
We excel in collecting used clothing and bi-products from across the globe, especially in the west. These products are then graded and sorted by our skilled staff according to regions and demand and supplied to customers worldwide. We are tremendously excited and justifiably proud of what we do, and continuously seek out new sources of quality, used clothing. Our clothing has achieved a reputation for consistency and value amongst our customer base across the world.
Our current recycle quantity is close to 50 million pounds of mixed rags per year. We recycle our products into A-grade and B-grade products and rags. Our firm employs about 150 people who are highly trained in the art of processing, sorting, and grading clothing in large volumes.
Collection Process
Our widespread network throughout Canada facilitates us in collection of used textile. Once the clothes are collected in ample quantity, they are shipped to our processing zone located in Karachi, Pakistan where each item goes through an extensive process of selection and grading.
Selection & Grading Process
At its business facility in Karachi, M.Mawji & Sons takes the entire responsibility of careful selection, grading, packing, loading and shipment of used clothes to its respective destinations. The entire process needs to be done very carefully and this would be next to impossible without the necessary tools, machinery, equipment and most importantly, efficient and hardworking labor.
Distribution in African market
We are proud to deliver “world best” brands of wearable collections through our retail outlets in different parts of Africa including Maputo (Mozambique), Lilongwe (Malawi), Antananarivo (Madagascar), and Chimoio (Mozambique), Lusaka (Zambia), Kinshasa & Lubumbashi (Congo), Lusaka (Zambia), Kinshasa & Lubumbashi (Congo).
